A case of tooth-filling antral rhinolithiasis presenting with blockage of the osteomeatal complex.Raman V, Padgham N Departments of Radiology, Guys and St Thomas' NHS Trust, St Thomas' Street, London, UK. ramanvivek@hotmail.com Tooth-filling antral rhinolithiasis is the phenomenon by which dental fillings are extruded into the maxillary sinus and are a source of infection. These fillings eventually become coated by salts of calcium and therefore form a stone. We describe a rare case in which the dental amalgam was eventually seen to cause osteomeatal complex obstruction after entering the sinus.
